About EDC
EDC website: www.edc.org
EDC tackles some of the world’s most urgent challenges in education, health, and economic development. Our three divisions conduct about 350 programs in the United States and work with partners in more than 35 countries.
We offer a variety of services including project planning and design, curriculum and materials development, training and technical assistance, and professional development. In addition, we provide assistance with organizational capacity building, technology research and integration, and research and evaluation.
EDC is composed of three divisions:
Learning and Teaching Division—advances domestic education programs that span pre-K through grade 12 and beyond. EDC has expertise in mathematics, science, technology, literacy, media literacy, early childhood education, special education, workforce development, and leadership development.
Health and Human Development Division—promotes human development across the life cycle, and includes U.S. and global initiatives working across public sectors, addressing health promotion, disease prevention, and health services research.
International Development Division—provides educational strategies in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. EDC brings learning to remote, impoverished, and war-torn communities, cultivates global communities of practice, supports business development, and promotes economic growth.
